I absolutely love coming here! Its beautiful and the trails are well maintained but and this is the only reason for the 3 stars- Off Leash Dogs!!! I have my service dog in training and my last dog i lost to a dog attack. It is terrifying to have dogs run up to us even dogs on retractable leashes in which the owners have 0 control. I don’t know why i have to raise my voice and repeat multiple times while walking away my dog is a service dog in training please give us space. Today my dad who has dementia was almost knocked down by an off leash dog-I am not sure why there isn’t a sign posted about leash your dogs? I have run into a few people who have complained about the same thing. It’s becoming a safety issue- We really love coming but I am worried about my girls safety and mine.

Beautiful park and arboretum with plenty of natural forest, flowers, and garden. Have multiple trails, picnic stations, picturesque seating points for a perfect sunny day activity. Variety of trails, including main, secondary, and unmarked trails that are easy to follow for nature lovers. Very well maintained arboretum and worth visiting for regular walks, meditation, relaxing, and picnic. They have self guided audios and maps with lot of parking.

I went to the Acton Arboretum with my fiancé on a whim. We have been there before but never went during the spring bloom. There were lots of wild flowers and we spent an hour or two walking the trails and boardwalks through the woods.
It wasn’t very busy when we went, just a few families enjoying the day.
It’s a great place for a quiet picnic or a nature stroll.

OMG! This is definitely a hidden gem! Check it out ASAP! Mesmerizing meticulously maintained gardens. I really wasn’t expecting much from a small community garden, well I was wrong! Definitely going back late October for the foliage 😍
