We had visited other facilities, yet once we visited Arden and met with Sheila, and took a tour we knew this was the place for Mom.
Sheila was so helpful and supportive in every step of this transition.
Mom has many new friends, and enjoys participating in most activities, Alexandra does a great job keeping the residents busy having fun!
My family and I are very pleased with the care Mom receives on a daily basis from Petal, Mimi & Priscilla to name a few.
I enjoyed attending the Thanksgiving and Holiday dinner for family/friends at Arden with Mom. Chef Tony and staff provided a lovely dinner for everyone!
Margaret was very helpful & supportive
when mom was recently hospitalized.
My family and I are blessed we found the right place for Mom.

We are so very fortunate to have found Arden Courts for our 93 year old mother! After a fall at home in October 2024 we realized it was time to have a better care plan in place . Living by herself with additional support was just not enough. The search began almost immediately.

After two days of touring different facilities our mind was made up as soon as we walked in ! The staff was welcoming from the time the door opened.We met the front office staff including Beth and Alma and the director Lisa . We met Sheila the week before and not knowing how special she was we soon learned how much she cares. Sheila is amazing and so knowledgeable and she made a very hard decision a very easy one. We felt this is where we wanted our mother to be !

The nursing care has been excellent and we are grateful for the care and support from all of them , especially Margaret. The communication from the nursing staff has been outstanding . The care on her floor is superior and delivered mainly from Petal, Mimi , Priscilla and Clothilda and Selma . I’m sure others are involved and we are very thankful for the care our mom is receiving. We feel like they are our extended family. Well , we are here almost every day ! The food is excellent Tony is wonderful. Activities are fun thanks to Alexandra. Physical therapist, Eleni is the best , so kind and knowledgeable. Let us not forget the amazing Emmanuel who does it all with a smile. He never stops working and is a true gem .
We are so lucky to have them all in our lives. Thank you all ! We are blessed to be a part of the Arden Courts community.

Place For Mom directed me to Arden Court Kensington, Md. Their excellent rating for care, atmosphere, services, activities and everything else was spot on. Sheila Kehoe of Arden Court was great in not only showing me the facility but describing what Arden has to offer and how their services were given to each resident. Sheila was a god sent when it came time to prepare my sister for the move to the facility. She came and help pick out the clothes, shoes, coats and other necessities my sister would need. The education, training and years of experiences with memory lost and dementia residents she projected is very impressive. Their entire staff are aways friendly and helpful every time I visit my sister there. I visited other facilities, some lower or higher in cost but none match the beauty and care Arden offer. Wlee.

Unfortunately my mother did not get to spend much time here — she passed away peacefully in her sleep a few days ago at age 94. At a very difficult time all the staff rallied around my family. I only wish we had found Arden sooner. We never had to worry the two months Mom was at Arden because we knew she was being well taken care of. She had spent two years at an assisted living facility, however when her memory got worse we had to move her. We were thrilled to find Arden because they were a perfect fit. A special shout out to Sheila the Memory Care Advisor whom I can only describe as an angel. Emmanuel the building coordinator who gave us a tour and spent a great deal of time showing us the well designed property, many many rooms, and answering questions. When Mom fell, the staff was very proactive contacting me, getting her to the ER to make sure she did not have a concussion, making sure she got back to Arden safely, and keeping the family informed. Mom always told us how nice everyone was— residents and staff. She was socialized with many fun activities as well.

We couldn’t be happier with Arden courts of Kensington. Mom fell back in October and we had to go with 24 hour care. Although the care was excellent, It also meant that there would be a different person some nights. It was hard for mom but we pushed through.
We decided to look at memory care living for her and toured several places.The third place was a gem for sure. The minute I walked in the door and met Sheila I knew this was the place for mom. She was so kind and reassuring as we. were very nervous about putting mom in someone’s else’s hands We went on the tour and all along I was like yes this is it as I looked at my other sisters and they agreed.
Within two weeks mom moved in. We had fun setting up her room.
The nursing staff are on top of
things.Margaret keeps us up to date on any issues mom may have.Petal, Mimi Priscilla,Clothilda and Selma and many others that we have encountered are just so loving and kind to mom and she loves the attention to her needs. Her Therapist Eleni is so good with mom and always gives us an update on mom’s progress.
Everyone is so pleasant here as we are here a lot. Nobody ever judges us for being here a lot. It’s a pretty fun environment. I love talking with the residents and look forward to seeing them when I’m here. Alexandra does an amazing job of planning the activities for the residents..There is always something fun going on. Emmanuel is always busy with something whether it be repairs or moving furniture around. He is amazing and always has a smile on his face.
We are so lucky to have our mother at such a wonderful place. Best of all our mother is happy with all her new friends she has made.

Arden Courts is a wonderful community! I volunteered here in high school and have very positive memories of the time I spent there. Recently, they've been hosting blood drives for Children's National so I've been back to attend those, and everyone who works there is just so nice.

My mother has been at Arden Courts for going on 2 years now and I could not be happier with the care she receives there. The staff is caring and attentive and has always responded to me in a timely matter. It's a beautiful facility. It's clean and well kept. My mother is content and happy there. It's a comfort for me and for my brother to know that she is well cared for. I looked at many facilities before deciding on Arden and I'm so glad I made that decision.

It's rare that I give five stars to anything.

My mother has been here for almost five years. We looked at a lot of places, but my firm advice is to stick with a place that does nothing but memory care.

Arden Courts has made my life much easier and worry-free. The rooms are very clean, the beds are neatly made, the residents are always well-dressed and clean. The food is good.

Unlike almost any other dementia place, there is a totally protected outdoor area where residents can enter just by opening the door. Outside, there's a acre or two of outdoor space with winding paths, benches and tables. The residents do not need to ask anyone to go outside: They can just go.

The staff is, to a person, friendly and professional. The head nurse, Margaret, is great. The executive front staff is super friendly. The billing process is simple to understand and hassle-free. We basically get two bills a month, for room/board/care and for medicines.

All in all, Arden Courts has totally exceeded our expections.
