All of the staff has been very kind and competent. They have cared for my wife's needs also providing PT, OT, and speech therapy daily. We do not hesitate to recommend this facility.

My first time to pick up my brother in law, Joel Warthen. The staff were extremely helpful. Being a retired LE and Security Director I was impressed with security protocols with a “smile”. I was not on the “pick up” list. Staff explained my situation and helped me understand their responsibilities for Joel’s safety. They quickly made checks to expedite my authorization. They even thought to gain permission to allow me pick up privileges in the future. Very resident and customer friendly.

I’ve been visiting the Glade Valley nursing home recently on several occasions and I have found their care to be very good. The staff seem responsive and kind and the facility seems very clean. My friend has commented positively on the food.

Very friendly- from the front desk, to the staff, to the residents. I was able to stick around a little during their Bingo game and they were having fun. It seems to be a really nice facility and the staff truly care.

Pleasant receptionist, clean establishment, most residence were pleasant. However, there were a few residents who were not happy with meals, or choices ( did not know what baked ziti was) and was not asked if they would like something else when they did not eat their meal. Some of the older patients are traditional and like (plain) eggs and bacon or sausage, oatmeal or cream of wheat where they can add their own honey or brown sugar, and a muffin or toast, plain hot cakes with syrup or condiments to go with toast or hotcakes that the client can put on themselves, or a breakfast bar of some sort, soup and a sandwich for lunch, like tuna or
Chicken salad sandwiches on rolls not bread. And for dinner, meatloaf, baked chicken, roast beef or beef tips in gravy, spaghetti with meatballs, sliced turkey instead of breaded poultry or breaded red meat. Perhaps these proteins are already offered, but I have met several who were in for rehabilitation purposes and many have the same comments about the food.

The PROS: Lacey in admissions was an absolute doll. Super helpful and accommodating!
Nurses- Emily, Renee, Diane (Both) were fantastic nurses and really care about the quality of their work and their patients! The nurse and social worker worked with me to quickly have all discharge paperwork signed to get my father released early. Physical Therapists (Reggie & Seeya) were great! Convenient location, easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking.
The CONS: Severely understaffed, leading to sub par care. Aides heard by residents arguing and cursing in the halls about who's turn it was to attend the patient. Call lights on for upwards of 30min to get help. Minimal supervision and check-ins. Thankfully, we were able to visit regularly and WE kept an eye on dad and his needs.
Food was not consistent. When they had the food choice available (and that's about 70% of the time) it wasn't bad at all!! However, one night for dinner, my father chose a salad and ended up with two dishes of coleslaw. That is NOT meeting anyones dietary needs. He was told they "ran out".
Covid outbreak, my father was sicker when he left then when he went in. No containment and it spread everywhere quickly. He was only to be there short term for PT after hip replacement, and left with Covid.
I feel hopeful that these complaints will be taken into consideration, and appropriate changes will be made to offer patients a safer and healthier experience. There is a long way to go.

Visited a friend who was recovering after surgery. Facility was clean on the outside, and from what I saw, the inside was clean as well. The receptionist at the front desk greeted me as I walked in, and was pleasant and polite. The patient was satisfied with the care received.

Front desk was pleasant & showed us how to sign in at the kiosk. Then she gave directions to the patient’s room. All staff were kind & caring when I heard them interacting with other patients.
