I had a horrible experience today, I paid them in advanced to rent their place for my daughters birthday party for the whole day. I arrived an hour before the party in order to set up everything, when nobody was there, and the doors were closed. I called them 7 times and nobody answered me. I had to drive from Centerville to Hyannis to go in person, since they didn’t want answer my phone calls. I saw two men sitting on their phones. I explained them the situation, they checked their calendars and my reservation wasn’t there, I had to show them my receipt. One of them was even questioning me. Why do I wanna access so early? like what ? I paid for the whole day I have the right to use it before the party. How am I supposed to set up everything before the party ? Then, they had to call several people and nobody was answering. When finally, one person answered and he gave them authorization to give me the key. It was frustrating, I didn’t have time to set up everything for my daughter’s birthday party. I am so disappointed. I don’t recommend anybody to rent their place . Besides, the tables were old and stained. They didn’t have any brooms or anything to clean after. (If I rented the place from them, they were supposed to be waiting for me or something, or even leaving the doors open) (I paid them a month before the party, and they didn’t even have me on their calendar, it’s ridiculous!!!)

Awesome. Led by wonderful people who truly care about the kids and community in Barnstable, the rec center is a beacon of happiness and safe, clean fun.

Mickie Davies and her colleagues are incredible. The Summer camp is well structured with fun age appropriate activities my son enjoys while he learns and grows with his one on one guide.

My son attended the Summer camp last Summer. The one on one guide and fun peer activities throughout each day changed William's stars and empowered him to grow sooooo much socially, emotionally, and more.

Put some $ into the skatepark!

You spend tons and tons of $ on Soccer, baseball, football etc etc but none on skating?

Skateboarding is an OLYMPIC EVENT! Invest in the youth a little bit!

It was great. Used the track above the basketball court. Was able to watch my son practice and run 🏃‍♂️. Staff ate always so nice. Bathroom was super clean. Nice to see kids back to practices!

The beach stickers are a great deal. $50 for 7 days with several beaches to choose from in Barnstable/Hyannis. Of course it's a good idea to get to the beach early if you want a prime parking spot. I don't know what beach's parking lots are not packed like sardines during the summer. The staff at the Rec. Department has always been friendly to me and I've been going there for 3 years now.

wish they had more open gym basketball like before, pretty much it's all just high schools practicing there and not much for the community

Nice location. Great place for ice skating and other activities for kids. Also a good location for voting!
