This place is disgusting and a scam, they would not give me my nexaplan card after insertion with my removal date, and now I'm being refused a removal. Ps I got it put in 3 years ago. It's well over due. I'm also 15 I got it put in when I was 12. this place is very unprofessional and just wants ur money. I don't recommend this place for anyone wanting birth control

Yes, I called just to get a simple copy of my birth certificate as I am going to Air Force basic training tomorrow.

Called several times just to get a voice-mail, now I understand that people are busy but upon someone finally answering it was rude.

"Hello I'm--- " she interrupts me.
"Yes. Ma'am I called several times and---" she interrupts me again.
"Ma'am I'm trying to talk is---"
She snaps back, "you keep interrupting me."

I was cordial, considerate and I was raised with manners, these people are uncaring, RUDE, and are doing a DISSERVICE to our communities and the public.

I went to a different health department where my civil rights are obviously respected.

After my experience on March 14, 2024. I've read alarming reviews and see that others have experienced similar acts of their human rights being violated. To the women that answers the phone, you Don't call people ugly or tell them their acting ugly. You transferred me but the phone hung up. To the black couple that violated my human right by laughing at me and sitting in the exam room next to me to hear. I had to whisper while the female starred laughing trying to cover her face. Denise Gilbert who never called me back. I'm coming for your jobs. To Kay, I believe you thought I'd go away if you acted like you cared. BTW when I asked your name at the end of our call, you said Kay leaving out your last name. Who knows whom I spoke with. These issues I've read in others reviews as well as mine our prevalent in Anniston. I will take action in a professional manner. I believe the Health department needs to do a clean sweep of these ignorant people that have no integrity and should not be working with in human service

Today being August 10th 2023 I walked in the building and directly to your right is the vital records and that’s exactly what I needed. I looked at the lady and before I could get anything out of my mouth she said we’re closed. I said it’s not 5 o’clock. She said we close at 4:30. I said ma’am it says 5 o’clock on the door and also online and I am going to lose my health insurance. If I don’t have a copy of my marriage license she said we close at 4:30. I said there’s no way that you would close at 4:30 but print 5 o’clock everywhere please just help me. I just need a copy of my marriage certificate and she just stood there staring at me and again said we close at 4:30. Now I lost my health insurance That I had with my husband either because someone is lying or because we say 5 o’clock online on our website and print it on the door but it’s actually 430 so I don’t know which one it is all I know is it I had one shot to go and get a copy of something that I needed And I was turned away. She didn’t have any sympathy for me at all. She was still standing there. She could’ve done it. I don’t understand why I don’t understand what has happened to people and their decency where did it go? I’ve worked for the public for 27 years and there’s been plenty of times where I shouldn’t have given people the time of day or done something for somebody because we were closed etc. but I did to make a difference with them because I knew it was important, whoever these two women were at the Calhoun county health department this afternoon August 10th 2023 at 430. I hope they were right they did close at 4:30 because if they were just being lazy and wouldn’t help me that says everything about them as people. Fast forward a couple days I went just to get a copy to keep on hand and was told it would be 30 minutes so I sat and waited. I watched the lady not even look at the information sheet I filled out until it had been 30 minutes then she picked it up, printed it, got it off the printer and called my name. Why are we making people wait 30 minutes for seemingly no reason? I don’t even see how this makes any sense or difference to anyone’s day except in the worst possible way for the customers. This place is ridiculous.

I was there with my 2 toddlers trying to get a replacement WIC card and 2 birth certificates. A man that works there (I guess. He didn't have a name tag) told me that they needed to sit in the chairs quietly. What toddlers do you know that will sit quietly. This is a 1 and 2 year old. They weren't being bad just running around in a circle playing together. Very rude and unprofessional.

The young brunette nurse with the ponytail is extremely rude and needs to learn some manners. I am 8 and a half months pregnant and she all but slammed a door in my face and then tried to embarrass me in front of her coworkers. Completely unnecessary behavior.

There is lack of training in regards to phone etiquette and listening skills. Staff was rude, called my spouse and I without identifying themselves asking for information I already put on the form and had the audacity to call spouse requesting his SSN without identifying themselves. Another lady had the audacity to say that my spouse works too much. Each time they called they did not identified who they were and the representative that answers the phone was very rude. One would think that someone in a position that services the community would have self respect and pride. It is evident that they are there for their job attendance and are miserable. That is the last thing anyone needs these days- dealing with miserable people.
