Our family is really grateful for the good care they gave my mother during her time there. From the executive director to the kitchen staff and everyone else, they showed great care and responsiveness for a difficult time my mother was having / needing assistance.

The nursing staff and the caregivers who administered meds (Shanika, Isabel and Dana) in particular were so great. This was the second family member to come thru Charter, and it says something that many of the staff from the first stay 9 years ago are still on staff.

Also, the team does a great job with activities to engage the community and the food had my brother wanting meals there frequently! A lovely caring place!

My Mom was in memory care at Charter Towson and Sandy and her team took wonderful care of her. They had fun activities for the residents and treated them with care and respect. Sandy and the other care givers became like family to us and we even invited some of them to her memorial service. I recommend charter to anyone who needs care for their loved one.

A special shout out to SANDY JOHNSON, director of Memory Care! She never hesitates to answer any question, and goes the 'extra mile' to get to know each resident and offer and initiate ideas to help them acclimate. I love her 'open door' policy and feel I can pop in most any time for a friendly chat. Actually in the nine months we have been there, I have been very pleased with all the nurses and aides in Memory Care. From what I see, they work together well and have the patient's care top priority. Thank you Sandy and your staff for giving me peace of mind regarding my brother.

Charter of Towson is an excellent community. The staff is attentive and friendly. They genuinely care about their residents, which is evident. I attended their Valentine's Day celebration and had a great time. Bianca did a fantastic job organizing it and making sure that the residents had enjoyable activities to engage in. What makes the community unique is its cozy, welcoming atmosphere!

Let me just say Charter is an amazing community! From all the activities to the quality of care that is provided , I could not be happier. You can tell the staff care and take time to get to know each resident.Whenever I have questions Shanika/Isabel will answer right away. You also get a great bang for your buck , in comparison to other communities I have seen.

Bianca has also been helpful and you can tell she really cares. Especially
with the different types of activities she puts together.

Lastly, Donna the ED has such a warm and welcoming aura. If you are looking for a holistic assisted living facility, I highly recommend Charter.

Our mother was at a bigger independent facility for 14 years and then had a fall. The facility could not accommodate us with their assisted living. I did a fair amount of research to find a new facility. We worked with Bianca who helped us with a plan to get exactly what we wanted as far as unit size and room location. My mother really liked the facility location and the smaller, homey size of Charter Living Towson. One of the main draws for us was the outdoor garden and trees. We are excited about the renovations that are in process now. There are plenty of activities for residents. We love many people who work there but I have to say that Terri at the front desk is pretty terrific. She has been there for years and pretty much has a handle on everything going on there. She has helped us navigate through every part of this process including my mother's recent passing. I cannot say enough about her!!
If I would have one area for improvement, it would be the food, although she loved the ice cream!!

I have been around this facility for 3+ years now. The building embodies the feeling of home for your loved ones. I love that the staff treats each resident as their own family member. The activities are great and inclusive to a range of all levels. The community built here is something special! Seeing all the residents out chatting and spending time with one another is so special.
