What a lovely overnight stay we had. Chris and Sharon are wonderful hosts who have a shared love for the beautiful house and its history! Very comfortable room and a warm and welcoming experience. The breakfast was really delicious. A gem of a place.

My first time staying at a bed and breakfast and it was such a great experience! The hosts were friendly and kind and made us feel welcome from the time I booked the room. It was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was amazing! After a long night out at a wedding I made sure to be up in time for breakfast at 9am. There was coffee and snacks during the day and plenty places to lounge or work outside of the room. The bed was comfortable and the sheets might have been the best sheets I’ve ever slept on. We were there during a very cold winter weekend and the heating was adequate. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for accommodations in this area.

We've been staying at Georges on York for several years now, and each passing year, it consistently amazes me with its improvement.
During the Christmas season, we had the privilege of staying there, and the place was simply enchanting. The hosts, Chris and Sharon, make us feel like part of the family, which is truly exceptional. In my opinion, Georges on York stands out as one of the finest bed and breakfasts in the country, possibly even the best.

What a charming and welcoming B&B. This was 4 blocks from the wedding event and it was a pleasant walk. The host and hostess were darling and greeted us at the door. We were invited to coffee, tea, cookies and a multitude of beverages. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Everything we needed, and more (safety pins) was at our fingertips!

I was only able to stay one night at this beautiful BNB, but the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was an amazing multi course feast with fresh juice and condiments. The staff was willing to discuss the recipes in detail and even talked through where they sourced their ingredients from (all extremely local). The BNB had so many cool hang out spaces both indoors and outdoors that provided even more free snacks and drinks. The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, and dripping with vintage charm. I cannot wait for another excuse to stay!

Stayed here for a wedding and had an amazing time! The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy, and we loved all the amenities offered especially the fire pit on the backyard patio and cookies & ice cream. They have really thought of everything you might need- from lint rollers to Gatorade. We missed breakfast but it sounded delicious. Would definitely stay again if we are ever back in Taneytown!

We stayed here for 1 night before a friends wedding at Antrim (2 minute drive away) and I wish we would’ve stayed much longer!

The hospitality and amenities they provided were unmatched to anywhere we’ve stayed before.

Highly recommend George’s on York if you’re ever in the area!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Georges on York last Friday.

Our hosts, Sharon and Chris, were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, we felt their kindness and warmth radiate from every corner (and plate of cookies) of this stunning B&B. While we were waiting for our friends to arrive, Chris lead us on a tour through the property and helped us settle into our room. Sharon was conscious of my food preferences and made an incredible breakfast-I’m still dreaming about the oatmeal and vanilla yogurt!!!!

Thank you for hosting and creating such a welcoming space for us during our stay! We truly felt like we were in our home 🙂
