I asked for assistance from them during a harsh time of state oppression where I was blocked from unemployment and getting a job and they insulted and mocked me. Slammed door and gave preferential treatment to who they felt deserved their services. They do help people I don't deny that but everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect...One day they may find themselves in same circumstances I was and see how it feels. If a person is not eligible for service just say so..humiliation is not necessary. This happened 2 yrs ago
and reported to them then and I'm saying this so they will not do this to others.

Apply for rental assistance in May It is now July And I haven't received a check yet For security deposit and first month's rent I now will be homeless soon Still waiting For the check smh But I must say the staff is wonderfulIt is not the caseworker it is the supervisor Hopefully the money will come soon🙏🏽

Sadly, this was a waste of time. I printed pages and pages of all my bills and when I didn’t hear from anyone (they said they would reach out) I went ahead and used all my money to pay rent. I had to call THEM to find out what happened and she told me I got approved the same morning I paid the rent but because I paid it they couldn’t help me. I said what about my other bills? If I had actually known I had been approved I would’ve paid my other bills and accepted the assistance which I still desperately need. If I was told about my approval I would be okay now, but they did a terrible job communicating and she said I could “reapply”. If you can figure out these peoples timelines and actually get them to contact you good luck

I am in DESPERATE need of help! What was the purpose of providing all of my monthly obligations and bank statements for you to focus on what was held in my bank account? I had a scheduled appointment on 4/7/23. I left (3) VM for Allie Milner whereby she did not have the common courtesy or decency to return my call. Finally, received a call from Jazmine Haley on 5/25 to advise that I had been denied based on what was in my bank account. Essentially, I was expected to exhaust all monies in my accounts before getting any help. I am currently unemployed and now facing eviction. I have initiated a formal complaint with the State OAG for this is not the first time I have encountered issues with this so called Non-Profit.
