We are thankful we found Oak Park Place to be Mom’s new home. She loves this community and has made good friends, bonded with the warm friendly staff, and enjoys the activities especially Euchre tournaments. She also appreciates the layout and functionality of her nice sized apartment. We see clearly why so many residents stay for many years. Suzanne, Candi, Heather, Irma, Amanda, and all the caring staff are like family. Well done!

Candi and the staff are amazing and really friendly. It made my Mom’s transition a lot easier than expected and the facility is top notch. I’ve never seen a place have so many amenities, movie theater, gym, ice cream shop, pub, lots of gathering spots. It’s its own little town/community. Thank you for making this horrible situation not so horrible

Leaving their home of the past 57 years was an emotional decision for my folks. Jared consistently demonstrated patience and empathy as they worked through the process.

Oak Park Place held their room of choice for 30 days with a refundable deposit, making the decision to reserve a no-brainer. At no point in the process did we feel pressured. Once they moved in, they were allowed to assimilate at their pace.

I've consistently felt that my parents' well-being has been a top priority for staff. After only one month in residence, all of their perceived barriers to making the move are gone and they have stated that they would not want to move back to their old house.

From the initial tour of the facility to move-in and beyond they go above and beyond. Hello everyone! I want to let you all in on a little secret! Oak Park place is awesome!!! They helped me so much with my parents who were residents for a short period of time living there. The staff is amazing and it’s always clean and spotless. The food is good too! My parents were happy there. They offer plenty of activities for the residents and I just have to say just how great this place is!
So if you have come to the time where you are searching for a place for yourself or an elderly parent who just needs that extra help, look no further! My shout outs are to Suzanne, Candi and Phil! Thank you for everything, Sue Schueller

My father required a little more consistent care, but he still wanted some autonomy. We evaluated a number of assisted living homes in the area. Patrick at Oak Park was very readily available through all our questions and concerns. When we decided to choose them he was instrumental in guiding us through every step. My father seems to be very happy there and definitely likes the food. The medical care team and staff there seem to on their game. I found the grounds very pleasant, clean and the rooms updated. No part of the facility looked old or worn. They keep up on things. Is a pleasant place.

been especially helpful, making sure her needs are being taken care of. Mom has no complaints at all, has made friends and speaks very highly of the staff

I moved into Oak Park Place during the worst part of the pandemic in 2021. I was unable to visit, so Oak Park gave me a virtual tour. I selected one of the efficiency apartments in independent living. It is small, but has all the amenities I am used to, without all the upkeep. Housekeeping, 2 meals on Monday through Friday, a pub, ice cream parlor, a movie theater, beauty salon, and weight room are all a part of the residents lives. There are always scheduled activities and events available. However, in my opinion, the best thing about Oak Park is it’s staff! There are wonderful people who sincerely care about the people who live here! They are warm, compassionate, interesting, and friendly. I have lived in two other of the five top senior communities in Dubuque, but for my self, everything considered, this is the most comfortable place to call home! If you want to be busy, or enjoy staying to yourself, Oak Park Place gives you the option to enjoy your life the way you want! Transportation is also provided for doctor’s appointments, and the dining is always excellent! The quality of your daily life will be enhanced by living at Oak Park Place!
