My daughter worked 1x1 with Travis at Open Door Education for SAT math prep. On the recommendation of my daughter’s high school college counselor, we reached to Travis because he has a well deserved reputation of taking high school students to the next level of testing by focusing on the student’s individual weak spots. We were extremely pleased with the SAT results, and my daughter enjoyed working with Travis.

Given our positive experience, when my daughter subsequently wanted AP Calculus tutoring we reached back out to the company for an experienced math tutor, and my daughter was paired with Isaac and worked with him for several months. Similar to Travis, Isaac was highly organized and explained challenging math concepts in a way that allowed my daughter to excel in her high school class. I highly recommend Travis, Isaac and Open Door Education!

I cannot say enough about Travis and Open Door Education. Travis took time and care to really understand both of my kids before meeting with each of them. He is so intuitive, has so much experience and his genuine care shines through. Each of my kids has a different learning profile and he has been equally helpful with both. For my son, Travis did several sessions before he took the SAT. He quickly pinpointed his strengths and areas where he was losing points. After a few sessions, he helped my son get his score up significantly. The best part of working with Travis is that both my kids truly like him and enjoy being at the office or on zoom. They are always happy to meet with them and enjoy their time learning with him. The experience has been 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!!!

Travis was a wonderful tutor for our daughter as she sought to increase her SAT scores over the summer and into the early fall. He customized an approach for her goals, offered engaging and useful tools, and kept her energized even as the SAT studies coincided with the crush of a senior IB year. We used Open Door for SAT tutoring and some coaching on writing the college essay. Both tutors were very helpful and kept our daughter on schedule where she would probably not have done so on her own. She had a significant score increase on the SAT which she was thrilled with. Her essay came out great and that tutor also helped her with filling out some of the common app which was an added bonus. Great experience overall!

I working with Sam through OpenDoor this year for my chemistry class and there has been a define increase in overall success in the class. We spend time making sure I understand concepts, and with Sam's help I have been able to understand concepts strongly and I have learned to apply them in different ways thanks to all the practice that we do. Our daughter was really nervous about the SAT. She came to the US without experience with US testing. Travis was kind and upbeat and gave her really targetted feedback. She improved her scores a lot. More importantly, she went into testing with confidence.
