The same way that one person can ruin the business, one person can restore it and I thank Ms. Janet at the clerk of circuit court for her exceptional customer service and assistant when I needed it most!

I went to the court at 4 o’clock to submit a money order and while the first person instantly told me they were closed and he cannot assist me to any extent- as I was walking out Miss Janet called me over asked me what I was there for. Once she discovered it was a quick and simple task, she assisted me and I was in and out in less than two minutes. I truly commend workers, such as herself as today was the only day I had available to complete this task and while no one knew and I didn’t stress my desperation, she still went the extra mile to assist me.

Madam clerk Nicole is, without a doubt, the best clerk I have ever dealt with / worked with in any Maryland state court. Every time I contact the PG County civil clerk’s office, she is always responsive and helpful with guidance and assistance, particularly with one case where I have had several filings and questions. Nicole is “one of one”, and she is the reason I enjoy working with / communicating with the PG County civil clerk’s office more than any other civil clerk office in Maryland.

The jury office in the P.G. County Circuit Court is not doing ann efficient job of ensuring that mail is received and processed into its system timely to eliminate erroneous threatening letters to hold one in contempt. In October 2024, my son received a Summons and Trail Jury Qualification Form. He preferred to complete the form in hard copy and mail it rather than online. I sat with him as he completed and signed it on October 21, 2024. We took pictures of the form and stamped envelope to document that the form was completed. I mailed the form inside the Hampton Post Office on October 23, 2024, at approximately 3:13 p.m. I took pictures of the form before and after I placed inside the mail slot for record keeping purposes. However, he receives another letter from the Jury Office in late November stating that he has not returned the Qualification Form and he can be held in contempt!!! He called the Jury Office to inquiry about his form and could only get a recording. I suggested he go to the Jury Office and show proof that he returned the form but he had already completed and submitted another Qualification Form online. That was on or about December 6, 2024 and should have been the end of it, but it was not. Last last week he receives a second letter from the Jury Office stating that the form has not been received and he can be held in contempt. So now we will go to the Jury Office to find out what is the disconnect and who is responsible. The last time I reported to jury service, the employees who check jurors in did not know that I was still sitting in the waiting room for my juror number to be called. It was about 4:30 p.m. before someone came to the room and saw that I was the only person left in the room. I was asked if my number had been called and I said no. The employee came back and apologized and said that I was dismissed. I quietly got up and left. I could not believe it, I had been in that room all day and none of the employees was aware that I had not been called. Some of us try to be responsive and compliant in doing our civic duty but we cannot when we experience this kind of inefficiency with our court system.

Would be great if they could answer the phone. Filed name change papers for my wife in the summer, it’s December now and still no word. They said it would take 1-3 months at most, 6 weeks minimum. Nothing. Every phone call is met with a robot. I understand being a busy court, but you’d think there would be a better level of efficiency.

Beware of the parking situation. They will ticket you $35 for backing in or pulling through. It's an absolute shakedown and completely arbitrary. There are signs, but if it's your first time there, you could easily miss them.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
The marriage license department is so trash. The employees don’t know what they’re talking about and neither does the manager. Very rude and just doesn’t listen at all!!! This is supposed to be a special moment for my fiance and I and we have been misinformed the whole process. Do yourselves a favor and get your marriage license in a different county.

The security theater was over the top and beyond unnecessary

Maybe one day the court will automate entry security & do away with the inept "guards" barking commands at the door — they make TSA seem like a cake walk.
