I feel like I was misled entering this program. I developed a false sense of safety. They’ve updated the living quarters but not the program itself. I’m only here after 38 days and they have an exit date ready for me. I’ve been on the list to meet with a therapist since I got here but there’s a 6 week wait and I’ve yet to hear from anyone. Case worker is here only twice a week and I didn’t know she wouldn’t be here my exit date. I got my meeting with housing just 4 days ago and have to leave here in another 5 days with nowhere else to turn. I’ve got 2 children 7 & 9 and I’m afraid of what’s next. It’s freezing cold outside now and we wouldn’t be able to do one night in our vehicle. Even so that’s illegal and I’m afraid of CPS now that they consider poverty to go hand in hand with neglect and even consider me living with my abuser as neglect. I’m looking into setting up mediation with my ex. I have hope that this time things will be better at least better than cps stepping in to condemn me for housing being such an issue. It’s cold out and my kids have to be sheltered. This place gave me peace for 38 days and I will forever be grateful for that. But it’s a vicious rotating cycle. It solved minimal for our DV issue and created a housing issue instead. I’m returning to my abuser. I’ve learned ways to avoid setting him off since I’ve been here from my own research. If I can just manage to get by until we can find housing then that will work for me. I’m not pleased with the lack of support here at Springfield but I’m forever grateful for the 38 days of peace and shelter they granted me. Wish me luck.

I required immediate services and was referred to Springboard for assistance. They were very professional and understanding of my needs. Given the time frame of the services needed, they took my needs seriously and worked effortlessly, I felt I was a priority. My case manager/advocate Aleena, was very responsive and provided as many services as she could; again time was working against us. She networked with her coworkers and they developed and implemented a plan that would best help me. I would recommend their organization to those who need help, if in doubt call and see (check their website) what they can offer in the means of help for your specific needs.

I put my trust in them and Aleena and I am glad I did, I am a lot safer now because of their help and their ability to organize a plan.

Thank you to Aleena and to the staff that worked behind the scenes that I didn't have the pleasure of meeting.

Thank you for all of your efforts.

Will provide 0 service or assistance if they know you can survive without them . They dont send emailed information, make them give you paper, fill them out yourself- they helped me do food stamps wrong once. They dont call back if they arent going to facilitate assistance . You cant even make this stuff up . Go community !!!

I would give this facility a negative 5 if it allowed. I have met a couple very nice, professional individuals at both the Baltimore and Westminster location, when I was a patient a year/2 ago I didn't have any problems. I had to leave so I could have my medicines dispensed from the same facility. Family and Childrens finally stated they could get me in to a Psychiatrist, so i swicjeds back (they are closer to home). However at this point they only have one Nurse Practitioner, and the one I had is no longer with them. A Nurse Practitioner is the only one within their association that can dispense medicine. This is Ms. Parker, and then first time I met with her she gave me a hard time. I waited an hr and half, she stated she thought I canceled. Then an hour appt. turned into a 4 hr interagation. Keep in mind this practice is supposed to specialize in abuse, which an interagation pretty much falls into abuse. She accused me of never being a patient, basically called me a liar, as she stated "supposedly" after I would state something about what her pratice diagnosede with or aomething that had been discussed. I could go on, and on, but the main thing I want someone who needs a mental health facility is THAT SHE GAVE ME A HORRIBLE TIME ABOVE KEEPING ME ON THE MEDICNE THEIR FACILITY PUT ME ON, AND THAT IVE BEEN IN FOR A COUPLE YRS. AFTER SHE CALLED MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN (and lied that sh had a signed release which she did not) but, I was standing there and my Doc asked to speak with me last, and I told her she did NOT have one but could talk to her. THEN SHE KICKED ME OUT OF THE ROOM IN THE MOSY RUDEST MANNER. THEN SHE WROTE MY PRESCRIBTION NO PROBLEM. NOW WHEN I WENT BACK IN 30 DAYS, SHE TELLS ME SHE DOEWNT WANT TO PRESCRIBE MY MEDICINE, MEDICINE I WITHDRAWAL FROM, AND THE EFFEXXOR WHICH MAKE YOU SUICIDAL IF YOU STOP TAKING IT/RUN OUT. SHE SAYS SHE NEEDS TO MAKE SOME CALLS AND RESEAECH FIRST. SHE HAD 30 DAYS TO DO THIS. I HAD TO LEAVE TO GET MY SON OFF THE BUS IN 40MINS AND SHE STILL WASNT READY AND SHE LET ME LEAVE WITHOUT MY PRESCRIBTIONS. THE NEXT DAY (FRI) I SPOKE WITH A SUPERVISOR AND AFTER AN HR CONVO AND HER CALLING MS. PARKER, SHE PROMISED SHE WOULD HAVE HER CALL IN MY MEDICINES. FRIDAY NIGHT I GO TO GET THEM AND SHE ONLY FILLED THE ONE SHE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO FILL, NEVER FILLED THE ONE THAT MAKES ME SUICIDAL IF I RUN OUT. ITS MONDAY, 3 PHONES CALLS TO HER, 1 VM & 1 EM TO THE SUPERVISOR (I dont want to name because she has been helpful, I think this issue is becoming above her position). PLEASE DONT PUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IN THEIR HANDS AT LEAST UNTIL THEY NO LONGER EMPLOY MS. PARKER. ITS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!

They suck. They just throw you out on the streets even if you have a newborn baby. They should have transitional housing close for the women. Who runs this?
